Pricing Guidelines

The correct selling price of any CURRENTLY advertised item is the CURRENT mailer or trunk flyer price. If an item is NOT in the current mailer or the current trunk flyer, the correct selling price is *NO HIGHER* than the price printed on the inventory ticket attached to the item and *NO LOWER* than the authorized selling price for the item. General or “department” discount guidelines shown below are from the price printed on the inventory ticket attached to the item (full retail or “ticket” price).

Discounting of non-mailer, non-trunk flyer merchandise is *NOT* required. Also, the discounts you give do *NOT* have to be the full department discounts shown below and do *NOT* have to be as low as the lowest authorized price, except for CURRENTLY advertised merchandise which *MUST* be sold at the current authorized price.

Dept 100: 35% Off Current Retail or Ticket Price
Dept 200: 5% Off Current Retail or Ticket Price
Dept 300: 25% Off Current Retail or Ticket Price
Dept 400:
20% off Current Retail or Ticket Price on all baby jewelry and lockets (414 and 419 classes)
35% off Current Retail or Ticket Price on all gold chain, bracelets and anklets (401, 403, 404, 415, 416 classes)
25% off Current Retail or Ticket Price on all other gold merchandise (remaining 400 classes)
Dept 500: 35% Off Current Retail or Ticket Price

When an item is displayed, both the current retail or ticket price is shown and a specific discounted price is shown:

CURRENT MAILER or TRUNK FLYER – this is an item that is currently being advertised; the price shown IS the correct charge or cash price and the item MAY NOT be sold for more than this price. The lowest authorized price for charge or cash is the discounted price shown.

EDLP – Every Day Low Price – this is an item that has been discounted similar to those items in the mailer, but is not restricted to a specific mailer period; the price shown is the lowest authorized price for charge; if one has been established, a lower lowest authorized price for cash is shown by clicking on the image; you MAY sell this item for more than the discounted price shown, but for no more than the retall or ticket price.

STD DISC – Standard Discount – this is an item that is NOT in a current advertisement and the discounted price shown is the price of the item after applying the department discount (above) to the retail or ticket price; the lowest authorized price is displayed by clicking on the image; you MAY sell this item for more than the discounted price shown, but for no more than the retail or ticket price.

BLACKBOOK – this is an item that has been designated as part of the Blackbook; the price shown is approximately 10% higher than the authorized Blackbook price; the lowest authorized price is displayed by clicking on the image; you MAY sell this item for more than the discounted price shown, but for no more than the retail or ticket price.
